I’m very lazy and didn’t read through every comment before posting, so forgive me if somebody already mentioned it, BUT…how about Joel AND Mike? Two in the same room!
Yeah, I have to also pick Norm MacDonald. Even if/when he bombs, the RT guys can call him on it.
Second choice would be Dave Attell or Lewis Black (or Mitch Hedburg when he was still breathing).

Agree with everyone who mentioned Bruce Campbell — I was fortunate enough to attend a screening of “The Man With The Screaming Brain,” where he sat in the rear of the theatre and riffed on his own creation. Pure (mad) genius!!
I would add to this list Paul Feig and Judd Apatow, the ringleaders behind “Freaks and Geeks.” They could sit alongside Trace and Joel, and leave us gasping for air thereafter. :-)

@124 Don Rickles did the same thing on a commentary for a Get Smart episode. He got annoyed/bored and just left after about 10 minutes in.

#154-my dream is the CT crew and Rifftrax people all gang up on something like Night Of The Lepus or INFRA-MAN, either one would be fun. You realize this will never happen, unless it’s a one-time-only event at goddamn Comic-con with only 100 spectators, no cameras allowed, and never released on dvd. Sorry, I’m bitter. But that would be awesome.
