Dick Beals, RIP

Voice actor Dick Beals, perhaps best remembered as the voice of the Speedy Alka-Seltzer, died May 29 at a southern California nursing home, he was 85. We’re just about certain he provided the voice of Gumby in the short “Robot Rumpus,” featured in episode 912- THE SCREAMING SKULL.

Our pal Jerry Beck has an appreciation.

What was thinking such talented person when he gave his voice to a horrid anti-robot propaganda as Gumby: Robot Rumpus?
By the way, Sampo, you made me visit that den of elitism that is Cartoon Brew after years. And nothing has changed!
