*insert grumbling and low muttering about how Amazon.ca has decided not to have said sale*

Vol. XIX would be a sweet set to save because of the GYPSY figure, also keeping it sealed and getting to CT show and having it signed would make it worth some extra scratch.

Of course, I had to go and buy Volume XXIII a day or two before the sale, but I’m not complaining. I really need to add the Fugitive Alien shows and Soultaker to my collection, so I’ll probably pick up Volumes XXIV and XIV next.

I ordered Volume 26 and it was shipped one day before the sale – absolute proof I have no psychic powers whatsoever.

(If fact, if I am WRONG 100% of the time about Zener cards, dice, lotto numbers, online poker, and MST3K sets going on sale, isn’t that just as statistically significant? Isn’t it meaningful? Beating the odds in the opposite direction?

Can this anti-power be harnessed and used to serve mankind?

I think it can. Or am I wrong yet again?

    Amazing Anti-Kreskin indeed.)

Or you’re George Costanza, who only has things go right with him when he does the opposite of what he’d normally do.

Anyone who ordered before the sale I believe can e-mail Amazon within 30 days of purchase and they’ll give you back the difference. I’ve read it before but don’t know if it’ll actually work.

Duane: can’t you order from the U.S. amazon site and have it delivered? I know in the past I’ve bought stuff from the Amazon U.K. site and had it delivered to the U.S., so I would think it would be the same in this case. Unless they’ve changed their policies or something.

    @ #9 jetpackbraggin –

I will definitely give emailing/calling a try. I looked for such a guarantee/policy on their website and did not locate it, but I have not contacted them. It’s on the to do list this week and I will report back.

    @ goshzilla:

Or am I just part of your dream and am attempting to trigger a false awakening from a lucid dream state by my 100% – but statistically improbable – failures?

That depends. Did the spinning top fall over?

    @ Goshzilla

(Glad you brought that up. I do have a nice spinning top. An antique “Put & Take” brass device that I used to talk people into playing with using quarters as minimum coinage. But until now, I had never thought of it in the context you refer. Perfect. I can now use it for both gambling and reality verification.)

I never get to take advantage of these sales because I advance order every set before release, but of course the advantage to that strategy is that I also have episodes that got discontinued near immediately after release (i.e., Women Of The Prehistoric Planet, Godzilla Vs. Megalon).

Decided to pick up Vol. XVII because of this, mostly for The Final Sacrifice. It says it’s out of stock right now, but oh well, I can wait.

Finally bought XV as it contains one of my favorite episodes ever, The Girl in Lovers Lane. To this day I still laugh to the point of tears when Crow is dressed up like Jack Elam’s character, Jessie. Can’t beat those prices!

(Joel is unamused. Servo sighs.) I worked a long time on this!*

@2: Duane I could order sets for you and send them to you, if you really want any. Send gmail to my screenname if you or any other fine Canadian fan actively want to pursue this.

Thanks for posting this sale! Amazon.com can ship to Canada, the shipping and import fees are just a little pricey. I just picked up volumes XXV and XXVI for $70, so at $35 each, that’s still cheaper than I can find it anywhere else.

Got the Gamara collection though not the collectible Tin.
Which is fine as I was never a fan of the Gamara movies on MST3K.
None of them were really examples of Joel & the Bot’s best work in my opinion.
I never even saved them on VHS when they were on.
But the price is good and the extras are usually worth it.
