Joel Does Voice Work for Cartoon Network

On Twitter this morning, Joel revealed that he is doing the voice of “Mayor Bill Dewey” on an animated series on Cartoon Network called “Steven Universe.” It premieres Monday, Nov. 4, at 8 a.m.p.m. (Thanks, Laura.)

    Atta boy, Joel!

Joel mentioned something about this at a Riffing Myself show I attended a few months back. It’s from the creator of “Adventure Time,” apparently. That show is a bit much for me, but I’ll check out the new program. Good to see it’s coming out.

I double checked the time for the show, and it’s 8 p.m., not a.m. Just wanted to clarify that.

@2 Actually it’s from a former writer and storyboard artist for the show.

I’ve watched previews for Steven Universe – it looks like pure crap (like every generic Cartoon Network show except for Regular Show, Adventure Time and a few syndicated shows) but if Joel’s voicing one of the characters….. I might actually give it a watch.
