WTH? Are they ever going to release any more DVD’s?

Yes, we’re working on one right now with the plans for another in motion. That said, we are a digital company first but with every VOD we include an ISO that you can download and burn yourself. We’ve also introduced, with this release, new file formats aimed at making it even easier to watch on your television.

Any news on any MP3 Rifftrax becoming VOD like “Dragon Wars”, “Red Dawn” and “The Incredible Hulk”? That was awesome!

Give in to the VODs! I used to only want the DVDs but I was missing out on so many great riffs! With the VODs I make my own covers and it helps with shelf space a LOT (since I was running out of room). I get those cases that hold 8 DVDs so I have plenty of room to grow. AND I save on having to pay shipping every time a new VOD comes out. That can add up to a lot if you order them often. It was hard to convince myself to switch to VOD, but since I have I’ve not looked back once!

I’m curious to learn about these new formats. I’ll have to check that out.

Take it easy, #5, Those people at RIFFTRAX rip in to and do not like anything and everything (including THE WALKING DEAD)….Don’t take it personal.

Personally I prefer, DVDs that can be had.
But let’s not forget, all formats are valid.

(Yeah, it’s not great. Has it been done before? Apologies if so!) :-))

I love digital! 80% of my PS3’s hard drive is Rifftrax (the other 20% is games). Makes it incredibly easy to watch whatever I want, whenever I want.

I hate to say it, but not all formats are created equally on the internet (anymore). Some are far less expensive, easier to distribute, easier to use on multiple platforms, etc. Yes, VODs are no doubt saving Rifftrax money on distributing product. And if that means they won’t go out of business and remain profitable, then that’s the way to go. I love what the Rifftrax guys are doing, and I want them to be around for a long time. If I’m nearly computer illiterate and I can figure out how to use VODs, then anyone can. And you can MAKE YOUR OWN DVD!!!!!!!! Which means you’ll have a DVD! Which means you can open your DVD player and insert a DVD!!!! Which means….oh you get it. If it helps with the illusion, you can even mail it to yourself and get the surprise of opening your mail and finding a DVD!

Yay for more rifftrax! Now if Rifftrax could have an option (similar to amazon or others) where there is the option of dvd on demand. (its burned on a dvdr and put in a case with artwork as it is ordered). Then there would be peace;) Just like when the big Gungan Boss Nass in episode one held up the glowing orb!

I however have downloaded a few vods, and the iso’s work great. Just getting to play at my friends house on his dvd player is the trick ;)

What no laser discs? Would love to do a make it yourself disc, but I dont want to have to spend cash that could be better used on bills to buy software to do it. Then if the disc doesnt work, I have a new coaster, plus Im not smart enough to figure out some of this new fangled stuff these kids today use.

@18 The MST movie came out on Laserdisc, if it makes you feel any better. :-)

ImgBurn is free and fairly easy to use.

Also, if you don’t have a DVD burner, you can buy an external one for around 30 or 40 bucks. All it needs is two USB ports and BAM, you are making DVDs my friend!

Amateurs. Noobs. I get all my Rifftrax by semaphore and the quality is excellent. Sure, it takes eight hours to riff a movie, but I’m not going anywhere.
