Suddenly Available: 25th Anniversary Set with Tin (and slipcase)

Our source at Shout tells us:

Our distributor found a stash of the now OOP 25th anniversary (25AE) tins, so we grabbed them and put them back up for sale on our site.

To go along with this, we’re offering anyone who orders it from us a free slipcase for the set, because the 25AE tin didn’t allow for a slipcase to be included (unlike 20AE and Gamera). (Some people like to take the DVDs out of the tins and put them on their DVD shelves, and didn’t like the fact that there was no slipcase to go along with the regular sets.)

ALSO, for anyone who has purchased the 25AE tin already and who wants just the slipcase, we’re offering them for free plus shipping.

See? They’re lookin’ out for ya.

The 25th set went out of print that quickly? Daaaang.

Hm….. no slip case? I must have gotten a later one, because mine came with a slip case.

Too late. I re-purposed another tin for my standard slipcased version of the 25th anniversary set.

Of course the tin reads, “Dr.Farber’s Sweet Land Cookies” on the lid and, yes, there are numerous Victorian era drawings, scenes, and portraits on the sides of the tin.

It’s a question of adapting expectations to reality.

Please tell me I can get a slip case for the set I ordered when it came out.
My M.S.T. movie shelf is all out of whack because of the missing slip case.
I feel a twitch every time I look at my movies(sets).

    @ 5

I thought the last paragraph of the Shout source said exactly that?

    @ 3

It didn’t matter if you got yours later, the tin didn’t allow the slipcase, for some reason, according to Shout. Now I am confused.

Can I just get the tin if I already have the standard version? I mean, I already gave Shout my money for the six episodes.
