Joel to Teach Class in Aug.

Maine Media Workshops + College is a non-profit, non-traditional school that provides experiential education for students of all skill levels in film, photography, writing, multimedia and design.

They have just announced that Joel will teach a class in “Late Night Comedy Writing” (is that writing for late night comedy or writing comedy late at night?).

This class explores various approaches to creating late night and cable comedy-variety content, including monolog, running bits, sketches and short comic vignettes of the Funny or Die type.

Fluency in Yiddish not required, but encouraged. Also the ability to recognize the previous sentence as a joke.

More info here.

Thanks to Michael for the heads up.

Joel definitely has aged gradually from sleepy stoner to sleepy professor over the years.

This would be cool but I don’t live in Maine. His riff camp writing workshop I went to last year in Seattle was very interesting.

There’s a rumor floating around that Stephen King will be attending this class for research purposes – but will be disguised as an ex-guitarist from Iron Butterfly.

  5. For the benefit of making an applicable product comparisons, we have
looked at routers in this array that discuss similar characteristics like IEEE
802.11n wi fi standards, 2.4-ghz band and double antennas.
If you’re looking for a new router, nothing significantly less than an n layer 3
switch should be considered. It would be advisable to upgrade to some radio n layer 3 switch, when you own a wireless g
router. The most recent routers also increase speed with Wi-Fi Quality of Support software (QoS)
common, which makes effective use of Ethernet connections by prioritizing multimedia traffic according to the application’s sensitivity to delay.
Many wireless n routers also apply multiple-input and numerous-output (MIMO) radio antennae to boost speeds.
