MTV.com Acts Like We Don’t Know This Stuff

Kat Rosenfeld of MTV.com asks “Where are they now?” but neglects TV’s Frank completely, (and Josh, and Jim, and Paul, and Bridget…) and apparently couldn’t find photos of Bill and Kevin. Sheesh.

I want my MTV – but not half as much as I want my MST3K.

Wow, just so many problems with this… But hey, if it gets “the kids” curious about MST, great.

    That’s nothing a MSTie didn’t already know.

To be fair, this isn’t directed at the hardcore nerds like us. The fact that someplace like MTV is still talking about MST after 15 years is kind of impressive all by itself.

This. Any attention to the show to drive DVD sales “Oh I remember that show…cool”.

Leaving out Frank is like doing a Gilligan’s Island “whatever happened to?” and not mentioning Mary Ann.

Don’t know why, but it bothers me they used an image of Crow from the Comedy Central era to represent Bill Corbett.

I’m curious as to whether modern MTV fans comprehend what the words and pictures in that article mean, or if they’ve just have their faces pressed against the screen for the last 10 hours, trying to eat the candy spilling out of Servo’s mouth.

Luther, Here is a summary of Gilligan’s Island; Dead, Dead, dead, dead, who cares, dead and her new book is just out. :-D

It matters not how many times I view MST3K The Movie. I always laugh out loud at that riff.

Well, maybe a big group will notice that, a percentage of that group will wander over here to the site, and a small percentage of THAT group will suggest some weekend discussion topics for us!! ;)

Don’t get your hopes up, mate. We’re talking about a demographic that now considers Beavis & Butthead to be too highbrow.

I remember when MTV actually showed an MST episode. It was part of a crossover promotion with Comedy Central. This was back when MTV had cool shows of it’s own of course. And who can forget Crow and Tom appearing on MTV news to promote the movie?

I miss Adam Curry on MTV, emoting somewhat like James Spader, while hosting Headbangers Ball. Good times.

This was a while back ……..
