Thought the description on this was hysterical! Glue crap on junk.

This is interesting in that three guys who played with puppets for years are riffing on puppets.

Yeah, like making puppets out of random objects would ever become popular. Just try making a television show out of it. :)

It seems that after a lifetime of having a piece of crap glued to some junk forced upon them as their alter ego (not their own inventions, these were the diabolical creations of Hodgson), or having to live their entire professional lives with their only public associates pieces of crap glued to junk, Mike, Bill and Kevin have developed some deep seated psychological antipathies towards these inert second selves through which they have played out their lives. Perhaps it is the inner questioning of themselves – have they become the pieces of crap to glued to junk, or have the pieces of crap glued to junk become them, or was there never any difference in the first place? Perhaps it was inevitable they would one day become indelibly fused internally to these devilish inanimate representations, perhaps feeling both a compulsive dependence on their source of security and a repugnance for the piece of useless refuse that has become a representation of themselves. This should serve as a warning to all of the terrible dangers posed to us by the siren call of vent figures, Kukla and Ollie, and sock drawers everywhere. Beware. The first one is free, the next one may cost you your sanity.

No matter how you slice it, puppets are STILL frightening.

Puppets that are meant to look like people are frightening, but ones meant to be robots are not.

Reminds me of a story Trace told once about how he brought the Crow puppet home to clean it up for some Hollywood event, and Trace actually got creeped out by the puppet, saying it seemed no matter where he walked, or sat, it looked like Crow’s eyes followed him, or staring blankly at him, so Trace tossed a sack over Crow’s head…. only to notice some time later, there was a hole in the sack, and Crow’s eyes were STILL visible and looking like they were staring at him. Trace then commented that the Crow puppet was basically saying, “Hi! I’m in your life FOREVER!”

Wonder when the mp3 is coming out for Godzilla. Saw the rifftrax live show and I have a dusty old copy of the movie begging to be played!
