    •picnic blankets

    Why were we so frightened of The Bomb? It sounds about as powerful as Susie blowing out her birthday candles.

    (For those who didn’t grow up during the Reagan era, and couldn’t practically recite it from memory from all the people showing a kitschy 50’s PD short to be clever…)

    I believe Weird Al Yankovic uses footage of this in his video for Christmas at Ground Zero. Both the song and video are favorites of mine. It’s just not Christmas without them.
