Ross Hagen is in this. I have the sudden urge to say “Chili peppers burn my gut.”

The only thing that stands in their way is Ross Hagen. Well, Ross Hagen and several thousand Filipino citizens who were apparently unaware that a movie was being filmed and literally stand in the way during the movie’s several chase scenes. Fortunately, their lives were endangered, quite possibly lost, for a quality production…

You had me at Ross Hagen. It’s a testament to Ross’s inate likability that we love him despite starring in two of the ickiest movies MST3K ever did.

And RT’s latest fan-pandering quest to dig up and replicate all their old MST3K fairground hits finally gets to “Angel’s Revenge”! :)

I wrote a review of this movie at http://bit.ly/rifftraxwonderwomen. What struck me about this movie is that it could have been several MST3K-riffed movies that were put in a blender, and pureed. You got hot babes from “Wild Wild World of Batwoman”, a mad scientist from several movies, brain transplants from “Atomic Brain” and wrapped-up bodies from “Clonus”. Riffing, of course, is also very strong.

Eh, Cinematic Titanic did a very similar flick with “Doll Squad” which turned out to be one of my favorite CT shows live (and it really makes me wish they would somehow release all of the shows they never put on DVD).
I think Rifftrax is maybe stretched a bit thin at times, but if returning to the same genre was somehow “pandering”, then all the Gamera and 50’s rocket ship movies done by MST would considered hacky.

Looks like a good one. I wish it could be a double feature with the CT version of “Doll Squad”, when they do a reunion and actually record it.

By the way, question for David Mello (#4): are you the same David Mello I traded tapes with back in the day?

Didn’t see Mega Weapon’s post. Apparently, we’re on the same wavelength there.

No, I’m the Kenneth Morgan from NJ. If I recall, I sent you a copy of “Gorgo” from its only broadcast.

Wow! This was a movie made for riffin’.

And I have to say that the movie’s struggle between objectifying women (by using up their nipple showing budget in the first 5 minutes of film) and yet having the “mad” scientist a woman with an all female team of brain surgeons – As a woman, I have mixed feelings about it… Such a rare quality in a riffable movie. Manos certainly didn’t have that going for it.

Excellent pick and excellent job on the riffing, guys!! :)

And here I thought the JR “Bob” Dobbs reference in “Duck and Cover” was the most obscure they were going to get this year. 2015’s already off to a good start.

Check out Machete Maidens Unleashed. After watching that, I’m pretty sure that guy hit by the car in the clip, truly was hit by a car.
