I’ll check out the first episode because of Joel and Paul F.

Man, this looks funny. I totally forgot Trace was doing the robot! I’ll be watching this for sure!

    And I love Joel’s KTMA hairdo. ;-)

Great cast! Trace and Joel will have fun with this. I didn’t think Joel was all that tall but in the trailer he looks like a giant. Great hair as well.

Well now I’m very interested, and that trailer shows plenty of promising signs. It strongly reminded me of “Hyperdrive”, a British show starring Nick Frost from a few year’s ago. That show was a little spotty, but well worth checking out (It should still be on Hulu Plus).

Looks great so far, love the callback to Joel’s KTMA look.

I was fortunate enough to work on the VFX for this show. Have to say, it’s pretty fantastic (it gets much better after the first episode, BTW.)

We were able to slide some MST callbacks in during post, but they’re pretty quick. The Master from Manos makes an appearance during a screen dissolve at one point. The classic MST silhouette is in there a few times. Did the best we could. ;)

For those giving it a try, give it at least until the third episode. The first two episodes are setting up all of the characters. Trace and Joel shine in the third episode.

Though I’m guessing that most here will have no problem getting aboard this series.

Just curious, but for us in Canada, there any viewing options? Yahoo Screen won’t stream in Canada.

Most of the ads have been for Maybelline. ( I hate clinique, really!)

I just got a Spanish language ad for Pampers.

I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

I don’t know if Yahoo! has their demographics quite figured out.

The show is okay, especially starting with the 3rd episode. Trace really steals the scenes as A.R.T. as far as I’m concerned.

Joel is just plain lovable. Tuna sandwich.

“He really does sleep like a masturbating baboon”

(is an example of Trace’s scene stealing lines)

    “oooh, the plot stiffens”

A.R.T. is voiced by Trace, and the original “Art” (Crow) is also voiced by Trace… I see what you did there! ;)

I rarely watch any TV series at all but started watching this one last night and think it’s fun. I don’t “binge watch” so just saw the first two eps and am looking forward to watching more, a couple at a time. Thanks for the heads-up!

I watched the first episode, and the only funny part was Trace. But I will give it at least a few more episodes.

I also noticed that Trace is billed as A.R.T. Puppeteer. So is he actually remote controlling the robot as well as doing the voice?

Got it in Canada through Media Hint. Loved Freaks and Geeks so I knew I should give this a try. I was definitely not disappointed! Up to episode 4 now and it gets better and better. Trace is basically Crow in a new suit and I love that, as his Crow is number 1 for me in terms of MST characters. Joel is at his usual understated quirky best. Hope the series keeps going.

Wow! One of the funniest things I’ve ever watched!

I love Red Dwarf….But I think this is better and only into the first season. Wow.

I really love the show so far. I’d watch it even without Joel and Trace, though their presence makes it all the better.

On a related note: Does anyone else remember “Space Cases” from mid-90s Nickelodeon?

I remember it. I partially watched it due to MST3k what with the whole comedy on a cheap spaceship set aesthetic. The other partial reason I watched was because of Jewel Staite.<3

Then again I also watched Homeboys In Outer Space because of that comedy on a spaceship thing so it’s all a cruel double edged sword.

It gets much, much better. The first episode is pretty clunky, but I highly recommend giving a couple more episodes a try. :)

I was very happily surprised. Was afraid I would only enjoy Joel and Trace and that they wouldn’t really interact naturally with the crew, but I was glad to be proven wrong. Trace is perfect as Art, and Joel’s quirkiness as the spaced-out engineer just really goes well with the inexperienced crew. And man, do they give it to the normal sci-fi tropes. It’s like Star Trek: Voyager, only really funny.

If we can’t have more MST3K, then just give me more of the gang in other things like this!

  29. I watched it in reverse order (8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) and found it hilarious. I’m now re-watching it in the correct order. It works just as well that way, too!

It tried to play that way for me, too. Oh, Yahoo. Can you do nothing right?

I feel an animal watching it on Yahoo, what with all the extra stuff on the screen. I’ve grown accustomed to the full-screen of Netflix. Good show though.
