OMG!! This WAS the film they showed at my school in 6th grade! I’m still not comfortable with the discussion, but it’s more realistic than it coming up while walking on a beach with a female friend.

…which is “As Boys Grow”. Trust me, it’s worth a riff. Very frank stuff. There is a huge spittake moment in it.

wasn’t the PE teacher also the health teacher (and normally overweight and smoke like a chimney). they would have been the one to show “as boys grow” back in the day.
also rifftrax did Know for Sure (about syphilis).
My health teacher in ninth grade must’ve weighed about 400 pounds… and he kept trying to get us to run an eight-minute mile. He wasn’t really a jerk about it, otherwise I would’ve thrown the hypocrisy in his face.
imagine a guy seeing the wrong film.. THIS ONE… would have ruined all those fantasies about girls!
I love these Bridget/Mary Jo shorts, but I do hope they get to eventually riff something that’s not all “LOL women.” They deserve a shot at some standard RiffTrax fare.

What IS “standard RiffTrax fare?”
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist. That’s the beauty of riffing. You can go from Saw to High School Musical to Casablanca. You can go from Catalina Caper to Devil Fish to Mr. B.
We got shown ours in sixth grade by our homeroom teacher, who had quite the sense of humor. One student asked how the sp3rm knew which fallopian tube to go up, and he informed us that there was a little sp3rm policeman in there with a tiny whistle directing traffic. No wonder I was confused on my wedding night….. :-? Never did get a straight answer from him, I think ultimately he admitted he didn’t know.
I assume nothing. I’d like to see them riff on some material that isn’t all women-centric since that’s the theme of all the ones they’ve done so far. It’d be great to bring those two into the main RiffTrax fold with more riffable material outside that theme.

The font they used for the title on this poster isn’t very good. For days now I’ve been misreading this as “Virtually A Girl” and I’ve been pondering way too hard over what that might mean. :eek:

Watched this tonight and it’s my favorite Mary Jo & Bridget short so far! As to the subject matter of the shorts they cover, I kind of love the lady centric-ness of them since this hasn’t really been covered in the Rifftrax shorts other than one time (I think it was called “Molly Grows Up” or something?). More please!
Hmmmm… Mike’s trax usually employ three riffers. We need to add a third female riffer to the ranks of Bridget and Mary Jo.
