Excellent news. Your fans appreciate it, Trace!

I’m afraid this news is going to eclipse any news about the pope.

    Heh.

Awesome! I grew up watching Sven (AKA Son of Svengoolie) a long time ago in a nerd’s bedroom far away. And yes, I’m within a block of BERWYN! Must see tv for dang sure!

So is Dr. Forrester going to meet Svengoolie? How great would that be?

We just recently got METV in our area so this is a very cool bonus. I loved Sven in his early ’80s syndication run (when he was still “Son Of”) and over the years I’ve always tried to catch Svengoolie on my frequent Chicago visits.

  8. I wonder if this could potentially lead to MST3K airing on Me TV.

One can only hope – my local market doesn’t have room for RetroTV.

Sventastic! I heard about Svengoolie on a YouTube channel called the Oddity Archive, but I couldn’t watch until recently. But now that MeTv is carrying his show, and my cable system is carrying MeTV, I can watch and I’ve gotten thoroughly hooked. Can’t wait to see Trace!

I missed the first 1/2 hour, and bailed before the last 1/2 hour – when did Trace appear? I missed him completely, but I just couldn’t slog through the rest of the movie; what a dog! I don’t even think MST3K could make the movie enjoyable, and I LIKE William Castle movies!

it was about at the 18 minute mark in, and was instead simply a very quick interview at a con someplace where sven, trace and joel were all appearing (cool pic of sven and joel shaking hands; joel had a huge grin on his face, so it must’ve been a cool thing for him too!) trace and koz (rich koz, aka sven) apparently had done some live radio theater performance together once (picture was shown of them onstage together), and so sven and trace had a brief “interview” – actually more like a competition of complimenting each other, heh. so, nothing all that special, but sure was cool to see!

boy, wouldn’t it be something if mst could return on something like metv… since it is primarily a “tv land” style rerun network, maybe there’s talks for rerunning the oldies? that’d be awesome of them to do, just for exposure’s sake… new eps would be ten times as cool though.

We just got MeTV, and it seems it was added…today, one day after the show.

    To quote Charlie Brown, “AUUUUUGGGGGH!!!”

On April 12 they were together to celebrate 45 years of “Those were the days” radio broadcasts. Both Rich Coz and Trace re-created moments from the golden age of radio. “Nostalgia Digest” summer 2015 had pictures of both of them at the gathering. Trace played the role of Johnny Dollar.

It was cool seeing them together. I don’t remember Trace being that tall when I met him at the Cinematic Titanic show I went to unless Rich Koz aka Svengoolie is really that short. Of course, I’m just under 6′ myself so my height perspective is off. And the movie was really good too.

Of note, Trace mentioned not currently owning a TV, that he watches all his shows online. Never would’ve guessed that, for some reason.

Yeah I think Koz isn’t all that tall. I had also never seen “The Night Walker” which had some tripped out, spooky imagery and some famous faces like Robert Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck and Lloyd Bochner.
Even “bad” William Castle is more enjoyable than some of the drek we’ve all grown accustomed to over the years.
I would have liked another segment with Trace though.
