New Full-Length Documentary from Ballyhoo

grefe

If you enjoy those documentaries included on the Shout! Factory sets, then you might be interested in this. Ballyhoo Motion Pictures has created its first limited edition DVD release, THEY CAME FROM THE SWAMP: THE FILMS OF WILLIAM GREFÉ. MSTies will recognize Grefé as the director of WILD REBELS. You can find out more, and place your order, at the Ballyhoo Midway online store.

Oh, and one word of advance notice…SHATNER!

William Grefé also directed Stanley, Sting of Death, Death Curse of Tartu, and the Shatner proto-slasher Impulse (1974).

I live in South Florida so I might want to check this out.

As long as they’re doing documentaries, I’d love to see Ballyhoo do one on Rene Cardona Sr. and Jr. The former directed the Mexican Santa Claus movie that’s been on MST3K and Rifftrax, and the latter is a noted cinematic criminal (not only are his movies awful, but he has a penchant for killing animals on-screen).

I’ll check it out because I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Daniel’s documentaries on the Mst disks. Any chance to support ballyhoo. Plus in sure it’s quite entertaining.
