    Trace makes an interesting point in the interview about “mean spirited” films. Mean spirited. That is a wonderfully mid-western way of describing a change that seems to have taken hold in American entertainment.

    Trace: At a certain point the size of the venue doesn’t help the experience. If it’s too big there’s too much lag time between joke and audience response, and then you miss the rhythm of the whole joke structure.

    A smaller venue is better for the riffing experience. You won’t see us playing stadiums.

    Frank: I would love to do Shea Stadium. That would be a great experience. We’d be like the Beatles, we’d have to stop touring because nobody hears the riffs because the girls are screaming all the time.

    Trace: That’s the problem, yes.
