I love it when they do movies that would have made perfect MST3K fare. This one is right up there with Jack the Giant Killer.

you can almost imagine Bill or Kevin smushing some pantyhose over their faces and showing up on the SOL as one of the Faceless Giants during one of the host segments.

Sounds like Supersonic Man meet El Santo.

I think you’re right, it would have been a good Mike episode but I don’t think it would have passed muster during the Joel years.

I haven’t seen this one, but I remember seeing an earlier Superago movie years ago. It ran on Channel 5 on a Saturday afternoon, back when local TV channels ran such programming. Those were the days…

So, EricJ is accusing someone else of being unimaginative and endlessly repetitive. Interesting…

That poster image really does capture the thrills and excitement that only a Superargo movie can provide.

I saw this about a year ago and thought it would be a perfect film for them to riff. I was so happy to see they did it!! It was definitely fun and had an MST feel to it.

Now I’m hoping they’ll riff on the earlier “Superago vs. Diabolikus”, and the unbearably awful “Fantastic Argoman”, also from Italy in the same period.

But it must be good–Says right at the top, Leonard Maltin gave it 9-1/2 stars.
