So….Leslie Nielsen says “Hotshot” a lot in this movie, is that what I’m taking away from it?

I’m glad to see this site isn’t hacked like it was yesterday. Surely, that guy thinks the other guy is a hotshot.

I’m reasonably sure you can actually see the moment where it occurs to Leslie Nielsen that if he’s going to deliver dialogue this idiotic with a straight face, it should at least be dumb on purpose. I’m not sure if it’s “I’m running this camping trip now, dammit!” or when he begins screaming at God in the middle of a thunderstorm, but it’s there.
This one is perfect riffing material. A charmingly loopy premise (holes in the ozone layer make animals homicidal because Reasons), a nice selection of B-movie caricatures, entertainingly overdone animal scares, and Leslie Nielsen as the crowning touch of giddy insanity. (Although honestly, I also love the guy wandering through the town being repeatedly stunned by the revelation that this car is ALSO infested with murderous animals!) 10/10, would wrestle shirtless again.
I don’t know whether to admire the restraint or curse the oversight of there being no Revenant reference
