Sounds good! I really hadn’t followed the gang’s post-MST3K riffing endeavors much, so this will allow me to catch up :)

Can someone come reconfigure my electronics so that I can watch Netflix and this new collection, too? I only just figured out how to change out the needle in my Victrola. I did get to see CT live at the Paramount theater in Austin years ago where they were double billed with Miss Lily Langtry, The Jersey Lilly. I believe judge Roy Bean was also in attendance.

Darn! I was hoping it would include the un-released titles.

Me, too, that would have been great.

    Great avatar, btw.

I caught CT several times, and I saw them do “Sinbad and the Seven Miracles of the World” and I also saw the debut of “Doll Squad”. Those were never released, and I think I heard that the latter was never even recorded. Can anyone confirm this tragedy?

Yes, I asked Trace in person about “Doll Squad”. He confirmed that one, at least, was never recorded. Didn’t ask about the other.

Oof. I’ve already got them all (and my SCCTM is autographed by the entire cast!), but I really REALLY want to see the special features. Oof.

Neither was “The Astral Factor” (which I saw on the Farewell Tour), so this is the Complete Collection of all the CT that exists.
Still, as long as it’s got “The Alien Factor”. :)

Hmm, do I want to pay $40 for a J. Elvis interview? I’m tempted, being such a completest. I bought all of these as they came out. And yes, the last three were never recorded.

I’d bet the price for the original releases will drop when this is out. Wait a few months and see if the disc you need gets cheaper.

I didn’t know any of them were still available as singles!

I only need a few too. I think 4. I guess it’s best to just get this on sale and have back ups. MST3K stuff… backups… that’s a gimme.

$40 is a great price for so much material, even if I do already have much of it. I’ll probably be picking this one up.

I mean the original versions. eBay sellers will probably drop the price on their single discs if the whole collection is this cheap/

On youtube you can watch the movie ASTRAL FACTOR and someone synced up the audio with the movie..looks and sounds flawless..Gruber was filling in for J.Elvis that night….

I only have 2 of them so this is a definite purchase for me. But I’d just like to point out that 12 movies are $40, but 4 MST3K episodes are $55? Hmmmm….

Great news! And I’m going to guess that the movies will be available as singles through iTunes or Rifftrax or somesuch at least. Single DVDs may not be able to break-even.

    Hahahaha.

Screw those ebay and Amazon re-seller parasites who attempted to take advantage of my addiction to CT. I was able to purchase a few titles brand new and very cheap before they went out of print. The resell prices for the ones I still needed were too insane to even consider.

Once again, an excellent and strategic business move by Shout Factory.

    What a bargain!

Eat it, resellers! Eat it like a brass cupcake…

“It was previously stated… that Shout Factory was not paying us any royalties for the classic episodes of MST3K. That was completely and totally untrue. Don’t know how that slipped by, but Shout has been nothing but kind and generous with us.”

So excited! CT’s riff of Alien Factor is easily in my top ten favorite MST-verse productions. I was sad when they were pulled from streaming sites but if this is the reason why, hooray!

Great deal for those that don’t already have these. I have them all, so I’ll pass though. Now if they included the unreleased ones, I’d be more than happy to buy this set!

I watched this over the weekend, at they did a good job of synching everything up. The movie print is lousy, but then the movie itself is lousy. Great that this was salvaged.

Well, agree with it or not, MST has more prestige, more cache, and (more importantly for the bottom line) more audience awareness than CT.

Now, that said, I paid well more than what Shout! is asking for all my CT discs. I wouldn’t get rid of them, though – some of them are autographed by the Titans.

I was hoping it would include “Samson & The Seven Miracles of the World”, as I already own seven (7) of these and watched “Doomsday” & “East Meets Watts” on HULU. We saw “Danger on Tiki Island”, “Rattlers” and “Astral Factor” Live at Nokia-NYC & Newark Hall. Sometimes you don’t realize you’re a crazed fan until you do the inventory.

We saw “Astral Factor” live (Newark, NJ). I don’t remember any Riffs from it, only that Stefanie Powers had a brief nude scene that they left in…it was both shocking and delightful.

Oddly, none of the Astral riffs particularly stuck in my memory, either, except for the dance-rehearsal scene.

  37. So glad to have most (if not all) of the Cinematic Titanic titles return on DVD and at such a good price.
I own two of them, but will re-buy them to get this set anyway.
Now…let’s hope that ALL the MST3K titles will someday see the light of day.

  38. Wow, that “Astral Factor” YouTube is a precious find. Thanks for posting that (I downloaded it and will add it to my digital collection).

I’ll probably buy this set even though I do have them all in some form or another (but some not in very good condition — similar to “Astral”).

Excellent! I was just wondering what the heck I was supposed to do since I’d purchased most of these through EZTakes. What a wretched service. Glad to have affordable discs available.
