And the two Doctor Who movies that were pulled about a year ago are now back up.

This is off-topic, but what happened to the annotated episodes on MST3K’s official YouTube channel? The last one was uploaded four months ago.

Obscure. That’s the word for this movie. Obscure. Bootleg copies in Europe inspired a hard core punk band from Manchester, England to name themselves REVENGE OF THE PSYCHOTRONIC MAN. I asked my son who went to school in Sheffield and became a fan of that sort of thing what he knew of the band. “Never heard of them”. You know you’re obscure when even your namesake band is obscure. Next time I get a haircut I will ask there.

According to Wikipedia, film critic Michael J. Weldo later coined the term “Psychotronic movie” for a low budget genre B movie that is ignored or disdained by the mainstream, because of this movie.

By the way, there’s a new Mary Jo and Bridget short available at rifftrax.com.

    “Farm Family in Summer.”

    Enjoy.

  7. I don’t think it’s that obscure a movie. Or maybe it’s a Midwest thing, but I not only knew the movie, but knew it was filmed completely in Chicago

The trippy world of being a barber? What does he want to be – a lumberjack?

What does “psychotronic” even mean? His brain is made of transistors and powered by a couple D cell batteries?
