This post is a real in-your-face for those of us who have fantasized about how how fun it would be to be on the MST team. IT’S A LOT OF FREAKIN’ WORK!! Felicia Day, Jonah Ray and the rest must have the patience of a saint to sit/stand for hours, no doubt answering the same worn out questions over and over, and still keep a smile going. Joel at least has decades of experience to fortify him.

Joel, and other celebrities such as Summer Glau have said they don’t really mind answering the same questions over and over, since it means they can better memorize their answers and not hem and haw.
Nonetheless, it’s annoying when someone has to ask a creator “How’d you come up with this?” or an actor “What was it like working on this project?” when they can simply Google that answer.
Whenever I’m in a position to ask a celebrity a question I try to think of something that’s never been asked before. Oftentimes it can lead to an amusing anecdote that’s never been heard in other interviews. Like when I met Stan Lee and asked him how his cameos come about in the Marvel films. It lead to a funny story about being told what clothes to wear for a specific scene (despite the fact he was literally already wearing the same kind of clothes)
He’s not on Dragon Con’s list of speakers.
Aren’t these sorts of things for people whose shows have been cancelled years ago?
Trace posted on Twitter a few months back that he was not going to attend DragonCon this year. He mentioned that his wedding anniversary falls around that time and that it would be nice to spend it with his wife for a change.
Frank and Bill are not in attendance this year either. Ken Plume is there as usual but will not be running or involved with the MST3K panels.
Felicia does a lot of cons and has for years. She knows the drill. As for Jonah, I don’t know enough about his past to say, but he did attend a few cons with Nerdist over the years.

I don’t know about that (if that’s the case I hope they’re enjoying it), but I do know he and Frank will be in Jacksonville Wednesday and Thursday. Can’t wait!
