Here’s the art they’ll be using in the first two cities:

Also, a clarification: “Please note that the movie formerly known as ‘The Dynamite Bros.’ will from here on out be referred to as ‘East Meets Watts’ due to agreements with the film’s distributor. In the same spirit, those of you who have heard us refer to ‘Brides of Blood Island’, what we meant to say was ‘Danger on Tiki Island’.”

Dallas as in Dallas, Texas!?!?
[...] Cinematic Titanic is hitting the road again – Atlanta GA May 15/16, Mesa, AZ May 22/23, Philadelphia PA, Portland OR, and Dallas TX. More info at Satellite News. [...]
DAMN! Just when they get closest to North Carolina, i don’t have any money!
Hopefully the Atlanta show sells like hot cakes and they come back around.
I can make that work.
Yay! I’d really like the dates for Portland as soon as they are available.
I was really disappointed I couldn’t make the Seattle show, but I’m so stoked they are hitting Portland!
See you guys in Portland! Ty for the news!
“Danger on Tiki Island”??
Hmmmmmmmm. Smells like Brides of Blood Island.
Remember, they’ll also be BACK here in Chicago later this year at the Lakeshore Theater!
Ditto on Portland. I can’t wait!
No love for NY ????
@11 I guess no NY love yet, but Philly is pretty close. I’ll be going to that (unless they release info on a NY stop).
finally in Philly, yahoooooo
Chuck, I think you are right. Tiki Island looks like one of Blood Island pictures and I think you got the right one. No surprise that they’re doing another Phillipino film after the rousing success of the other Blood movie live. I love the blood movies (can’t wait for the “zoom lens” jokes) and they are so ripe for the picking. (yuck)
I’m just a little disappointed they’re doing the same kung fu movie (under another title apparently) as I am oh soo greedy! But guys it’s a must see. It is hilarious live! As good as any MST…
Still no show in the D.C./Maryland area, but Philadelphia is at least driving distance. After flying halfway across the country to see them last Oct. in Minneapolis and finding it totally worthwhile, it certainly would be worth the drive to see them again. CT live is great stuff! We’re already seriously considering going to that Philadelphia show.
THIS is what I’ve been waiting for. I live in Southern New Jersey, so I have no problem going to the Philly show at all (other than needing to know when it is and hoping it’s not at the Tower Theater).
Will these be the next DVD releases?
A black man is president, and CT is coming to Arizona?! I never thought I’d live to see the day…
I’M IN.
Come on, no Florida gigs? Not even Miami or Orlando? It’s Spring Break, they should be enjoying the weather down here…
I hope that they can come back to the New England area someday; I’d love to see these guys live!
Any word on a date for the Philly show?
Yay, coming to Philly at last
Oh man, and I’m just about to move closer to Philly! I may finally get to see a live show!
This is excellent news.
I can’t find any information on EAST MEETS WATTS or DANGER ON TIKI ISLAND. If they are re-titles of other movies (ala THE OOZING SKULL), what ones?
I think the East Meets Watts is probably an Tagline or alternate title for Dynamite Brothers. I can see that they are handcuffed together which i doubt many other movies did
i’m still patiently awaiting a detroit show
Thank you thank you for comming to Phoenix!!!! Shriek!!!!
Travis look at my and Chuck’s posts.
East Meets Watts is most certainly Dynamite Brothers. They riff it so great…
Kudos to Chuck (#8) and losingmydignity (#27)! You’re both right. Here’s a virtual light bulb for your brainy detective work.
I second the suggestion by Doug (#19) – come on down to Miami!
After all, this is where the fish lives…
You passed us over again. I have a gun to my head, I’m pulling the trigger…OUCH!! That little flag that says “BANG” hurts. Could you throw a riff down to me from the plane on your way to Portland?
Um, Miami would be okay, but Orlando is more central to Florida (and thus could appeal to the Miami/Tampa Bay/Jacksonville areas all at the same time). Besides, we’re the number one tourist destination in the WORLD!
Come on, CT, give us some Florida love!
Phillllllllllly!!!! On my birthday weekend!!! Yessssssssssss!!!! ::breathes into paper bag::
PORTLAND PWNS ALL.
Yay Portland!
They’re coming to Portland, as promised! I will not say anything stupid and embarrassing during the autograph session…(repeating to myself 500 times)
The people of Denver and the Rocky Mountain Region would once again like to tell Cinematic Titanic, screw you guys too.
Now Brides of Blood is a good choice for riffing. It’s one of the better Blood Island flicks but packed with exploicheesy flavor.
I think they mispelled the location for the Philadelphia show. I believe they mean THE TROCODERO theater, 1003 Arch St. The Troc still doesn’t have it listed on their schedule yet.
Sorry for the stupid question… So these are the same movies on the first leg with different titles? Dynamite Brothers was great, but I don’t think I want to drive all the way to Philly from DC just to see it again.
Then go for Tiki Island!
(Dynamite Bros. may have evolved since you last saw it!)
Ted H.: Dynamite Bros. is the same, but Brides of Blood Island is not Blood of the Vampires, which was the other movie from the last tour. It looks like Portland, Dallas, and Philly will have BoBI and a new, unnamed film.
CT? In Portland?!? Only a five minute walk from where I live?!?!?! Oh I’m definitely there!!
Yay for Atlanta! Any idea on if they’ll do a signing or anything after the show? Also, anyone know of a good place to stay close to the show?
Great news! We are already planning a road-trip to Philadelphia to see both shows.
It’s actually Trocadero. Good ol’ Troc. So, I found out the Troc dates are actually in June rather than May, but I’ll deal.
I’m so freaking happy that CT is coming to Philly. I love in South Jersey and that’s the closest they’ll ever come to me. When do tix go on sale anyway?
Dang! I’d love to go see them in Philly but I’ll be in the UK at that time…do you think they’ll ever do later dates in Baltimore or DC?
Phinally in Philly! Yay!
Looks like I’ll be heading to Hotlanta for the Sat. show.
#43 RevRaven You might want to check online. The hotel I made reservations with is about 1 1/2 miles from the theater. I went to Orbitz and got a pretty good deal for a flight and hotel.
When i heard that Cinematic Titanic was actually comming to Hotlanta, I said H***-yea. As I live just ouside Atlanta, it would be a sin not to get tickets. I could not decide which date to choose so I bought tickets to both!
See ya’ll there
So anyone interested in carpooling from the MD/D.C.-area to Philly?
It has also been announced on the DragonCon website that Bill Corbett, Trace Beaulieu, and Mary Jo Pehl will be guest at this years event.
I’m familiar with the Dynamite Brothers soundtrack that Charles Earland (jazz funk organist) did and the actresses with bit parts in the movie, Carol Speed (famed for “Abby”, the black version of “Rosemary’s Baby”) and Esther Marrow (who also was a jazz vocalist who released a couple of rare records back in the day). I never expected them to do this one.
HMMMMMM – no Denver stop this tour?
Is CT aware that Denver is the largest city in the entire mountain time zone?
Does that have any weight in the tour route process?
Sour grapes aside i can’t wait for not one but TWO new DVDs…..
I’ve already got my tickets for all three nights in Chicago. Saw them last time and would not miss them for the world!
Just bought tickets for the show in Phoenix. I am stoked!
Do these shows sell out… and if so, how quickly? I won’t get paid until the 4th and I would hate to miss a chance to see this!
Just got my tickets for the Portland show. Woo!
Brides of Blood is an awesome bad movie. John Ashley and his manly dreamy self and a filipino monster and supporting cast. I have the entire Blood boxed set. All great bad movies.
are the Dallas ticket prices listed anywhere?
This will be my first CT show and I was wondering how hard is it to meet the guys afterwards?
re:62
according to past reviews people said they would line up at a table and get to meet all of them afterwards.
Nice. I hope this still hold true for the philly show. One last question. Does anyone know what kind of merch they were selling at the show?
just go back to the review boards or scour messageboards.
i want to say they have the DVD’s, but they’re really marked up over online prices.
btw any news on when a new CT dvd will be released?
Close enough to the D.C. area to see them again. One night in Philly so we can see both shows. Hooray!
I saw both shows in Seattle, and both times they met with fans after the show. They came out to the lobby about 10-15 mins after the show ended, signed whatever you brought and let you take photos of/with them. They were incredibly gracious, patient and kind.
They did sell merchandise, but I only saw photos of the cast (the same silhouette photos you see on the CT site) and some of the movies. There was not a ton of stuff there.
Has anyone seen the Alien Factor? It sounds great.
Anyone else having problems buying Portland Tickets? Are they sold out?
I wonder where it’s gonna be next year. Missed this year’s leg.
