RIP Doris Day

Carmel Valley, Calif.–Doris Day, the honey-voiced singer and actress whose film dramas, musicals and innocent sex comedies made her a top star in the 1950s and ’60s, and among the most popular screen actresses in history, died at her home here May 13. She was 97.

MSTies may remember that she was mentioned during a host segment in episode 311- IT CONQUERED THE WORLD.

    RIP. I enjoyed many of her movies, especially “Calamity Jane,” but now whenever I think of her, I think of the episode of M*A*S*H where Colonel Potter wants one of her records played over and over.
