No, I don’t get to dictate terms. That’s one reason I said please. And the last time Sampo chimed in to tell us to knock it off he specifically asked us to avoid “back and forth-ing” and to not respond to negativity with more negativity regardless of whether or not they deserve it.
When I ask people to please not feed the troll I’m trying to remind the group of what our nice unpaid moderator has to say about the issue. He has to read through all our posts. And it would be polite of us not to make the job like excavating an outhouse.
Our resident troll is immune to reason. As well as mockery, teasing, insults, and threats. Engaging with him only encourages him. Yes, he started it. But we have allowed yet another discussion thread to get hijacked and become another referendum about how much we all dislike this man. Maybe that should be a discussion thread topic so we can get it out of our system.
I don’t know why the admins haven’t excised this individual like a tumor, but absent that the only action we can take against him is to ignore him and deny him the perverse pleasure he seems to take in expressions of our displeasure. He cannot be reasonable, so it falls to rest of us to be more than reasonable. It’s not fair. It’s what is. Van Damme you all to Hell.
The trouble with “Just the Jokes” releases is you have to buy the inept or otherwise sub-prime movie, which seems to defeat the purpose.
Anyhow, “movies” based on videogames are pretty much always going to be mediocre crap. Not worth bothering with.
Mortal Kombat was an OK popcorn movie. Only seen bits of Street Fighter, but it looked like some goofy fun with Raul Julia chewing up the scenery. Miles ahead of the train wreck that is Super Mario Bros.

As previously noted Street Fighter fan, I enjoy talking about Street Fighter on topic, too. ISTR, I WAS, until I made a passing remark about RT choosing low-hanging fruit for their latest riffing, and then someone threw a pipe bomb into the crowd. That someone, if you will look back, was not me.
And the only advice I can offer is that if you see the usual suspects attempt to use righteous crusades! to derail the thread away from discussion of RT or their movies of choice, the best advice I can offer is…”Quick, change the channel!” :)
Watched this one tonight. I had never seen the movie before, so it was quite fun to see with the boys adding their quips. And Raul Julia definitely does NOT get treated with kid gloves. There were a couple downright savage, but hilarious, riffs at his expense.
I can tell this one will get many repeat viewings.
Watching now. Fun silly movie and decent rifftrack. I’m enjoying Raul Julia’s performance. Van Damme seems to be phoning this one in a bit. The buckets of cocaine probably weren’t helping. I did like Van Damme’s character deciding to disobey orders and start a war because he felt like it. Hope he enjoys his war crimes trial.

I used to be vexed. By now, we all know what to expect. My eyes glaze over. I skip forward. But, the noise is reliable and consistent. It’s like the tide or salmon returning to spawn. It just happens. It will always happen. I don’t really have to pay attention to it. In fact, at this point the world would be upside down without it.

You are so very reminiscent of a certain political figure, who causes an uproar, then plays the victim card. And like him, you are also a narcissistic tool-bag.
We *enjoy* RT. You don’t. Making the point once is expressing your opinion. Wading into *every* RT thread and pissing all over it is the very definition of a troll.
You can try to side-step all you want, but you’re a worthless troll. And Sampo and Erhardt are complicit in allowing you to continue your one man campaign to ruin this great site.

For those of you lamenting the lack of an Ignore feature, I’ve written one myself. It’s not the most user-friendly little program; it’s a userscript and requires Greasemonkey, TamperMonkey, or some other similar browser extension. But it’ll hide any posts written by EricJ, and any responses that quote him.
