The Sulphur River in BOGGY CREEK II –
Although not technically a character in the movie the body of water featured as “the bottoms” was my grandfather’s favorite catfishing spot after World War One. He and his brothers-in-law would fire up the Model T Ford and head down for an overnight stay supplied with a sack of corn meal and a can of lard to fry the fish in. One time Grandpa refused to ride in the Ford and so they tied the tongue of Grandpa’s wagon to the rear bumper and pulled him behind them. That may have been one of the trips when the water jug didn’t exactly have water in it.
Shawn Levy, director of the “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “Pink Panther” remakes and the “Night at the Museum” series played Jim Bratten, the leader of the group of teenagers, in “Zombie Nightmare.”
Much to my dismay, he’s remaking “Starman. :-(

As for the link, it reminds me of the rifftrax short with the Christmas trees that had human faces. Since General Bullbutter was playing a human tree I can only assume that his character committed suicide and is now in the 6th or 7th circle of Dante’s Inferno. No wonder he’s a crabby tree. This piece is in a fine tradition of kid’s entertainment that manages to be both horrifying and stupid at the same time.

I just caught him as the computer clown in Star Games, directed by Greydon Clark, starring his whiny kids, and also his real-life wife, Jacqueline Cole, who played April in Angel’s Revenge.
I must say that Norris has had the more interesting career of all of them…
She was also in Easy Rider (during the New Orleans cemetery scene). That’s pretty cool.
And of course, Troxartas from Deathstalker was the bird guy in Buck Rogers (as well as Shurka in Wizards of the Lost Kingdom). His interview for the Shout! set is a delight. He seems to really enjoy himself and the career he’s had.
Daran Norris gave a similar interview on the Blu-Ray of Hobgoblins (yes, I own it). He’s very self-deprecating and has a great sense of humor about making the movie, while also pointing out that he’s had a very successful career doing voice work. They interview pretty much everyone from the movie (except “Amy”, who declined to be interviewed, and McCreedy, for reasons unknown–IMDB doesn’t give any information after 2000).
Re: Dances With Wolves, also keep an eye out for Overdrawn’s Gondol (The Fat Man’s lackey) as the officer who gives Costner his assignment.
I came across an old article from the Los Angeles Times about a report of a UFO spotted on the ground in the hills outside of LA. In the accompanying photo was a reporter standing next to a decrepit looking saucer shaped metal object. Man, that looks familiar, I said to myself. Sure enough it was the old prop space saucer from TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE minus the domed entrance cover. Kinda makes you wonder what else is laying around out in those hills.
Howard Marion-Crawford was also in 39 episodes of Sherlock Holmes a British TV series in the mid 50’s as Dr. Watson.
Was it really varied though? She was a dancer and choreographer who occasionally played dancers on screen.

Took me a long time to realize the doughy general in The Incredible Melting Man was the same actor (Myron Healey) as the slightly less doughy guy in The Unearthly, 20 years earlier.
I was watching Barbarella for the first time a few months ago. There’s a blind, winged angel-like character in the film called Pygar who is barely clothed and has the chiseled body of an athlete. He also had these intense, striking eyes. They made me think of Kalgan in Space Mutiny, played by John Phillip Law. Went on IMDb to discover that, in fact, Pygar WAS John Phillip Law! I also didn’t even realize until recently he also played Diabolik. I don’t remember Mike & the bots making any Kalgan references, but I haven’t watched that episode very many times.

1931: Bill McKinney, who played Sheriff Kyle in the movie in episode 322- MASTER NINJA I and Chief Wilson in the movie in episode 1008- FINAL JUSTICE.
I never realized until this moment that these two unlikeable characters were portrayed by the same actor. This was apparently his strong suit as an actor, as a large part of his roles in these two films was to be more unlikeable than both Vincent Van Patten AND Joe Don Baker!
I was watching SAMPSON VS. THE VAMPIRE WOMEN on Pluto Channel and it struck me that the Vampire Women revival scene was an exact match for a Cardashian makeover show.
Please substitute Kardashian for Cardashian in the above post. Obviously I am not.a devoted fan.

Such a shame I didn’t have a chance to answer this topic sooner, but I’ll add one anyhow. It took me years to notice that Ann Sweeny, who played Ted Nelson’s wife in The Incredible Melting Man, also appeared in an episode of MASH, as the nurse who sleeps with BJ. It was a weird; I had the MASH episode on in the background, not really paying attention, heard her voice, and thought, “Wait, is that…?”
Then I spent the next couple of days amusing myself by imagining her as Judy Nelson but in an alternate universe. Here she was, serving as a nurse in Korea, unhappily married to a man who doesn’t treat her well, and finally leaving him after telling him off: “Get your own damn crackers, Dr. ‘Hotchka’! I’ve had enough!”
