RIP Giancarlo Ferrando

ROME — Giancarlo Ferrando, cinematographer and director of photography for more than 120 films and TV series, died here on Aug. 13. He was 80.

MSTies will remember his work on the movies in episodes 501- WARRIOR OF THE LOST WORLD and 911- DEVIL FISH.

Right now the only obit is in Italian (google does a pretty good job translating).

Thanks to Tim for the heads up.

I suspect that Signor Ferrando would not want to be remembered only for WARRIOR OF THE LOST WORLD and DEVIL FISH, so let’s make some assumptions. At the age of 80 he was probably “Nonno” to several grandchildren who probably loved him and will miss him dearly. As a veteran in his field he likely commanded respect and admiration. RIP
