Lynn Stalmaster, RIP

Los Angeles — Lynn Stalmaster, the veteran casting director who pushed relative unknowns for starring roles, died Feb. 12 at his home here. He was 93. In November, 2016, Stalmaster became the first casting director in history to receive an Academy Award.

Among the hundreds of movies and TV shows he worked on, Stalmaster was the casting director for the movie in episode K13- SST: DEATH FLIGHT and the first episode of the TV series “The Master,” seen in episode 322- MASTER NINJA I.

The Hollywood Reporter has the story.

Thanks to Gordon for the heads up.
