Rifftrax Campaign Commercials, Round 2

Another riotous set of campaign commercials from Rifftrax is out.

Wesley Clark give Hillary a, perhaps, too enthusiastic endorsement.

Hillary denounces “Point Break.”

John McCain doesn’t pay his green screen bill and suffers the consequences.

Hillary proposes super-smart babies for all (that sounds like Bridget).

The Boogeyman is the answer!

A power ballad for John McCain (sung by Kevin)

Obama gives voters what they want: Sven and Ole jokes.

I honestly didn’t care for most of these new campaign videos. The highlight though was the Hillary “Super Babies” ad. That was funny.

The rest were pretty mediocre, although the last line in the McCain power ballad was good for a chuckle.

That might be Beez McKeever narrating the Hillary ‘superbabies’ ad.

These were sooo stupid. Not funny at all. The rifftrax guys need to give it up. Man, talk about trying too hard! Not funny. Not even close.

Really? I thought they were pretty funny. Simple, non-partisan goofy fun when it comes to political humor is so rare nowadays (probably because it’s hard not to get angry or depressed or both when it comes to anythng politics anymore). These do the job of getting chuckles for about a minute, all they’re meant to do… and hopefully staving off the whole aforementioned anger and depression thing.

Both the sets of these were just light silly fun. I didn’t think they were great, but as a handful of thirty second promotional tools for Rifftrax they certainly get the job done. The Sven and Olie one, and the Hillary gift wrapping ad in the other set are my two favorites.

I like the Rifftrax campaign ads. Like others have said, it’s nice to see something lighthearted and goofy in the area of political humor. As for Jerry, maybe he should try and get his money back from Rifftrax since he didn’t like them. Oh wait….

Check out the McCain “Green Screen” video. Does anybody else notice that he appears to have another face on his neck?
