oh I just love this set..
I guessed right on Robot Monster.. this is one of the better Season 1 episodes as agreed by many MST3K fans ..
Bride of the Monster is looong overdue so I am really happy to have that one..
Devil Fish was a big surprise for me here..and a pleasant surprise

Not a bad pick of episodes. Perhaps I’m most excited for “Bride of the Monster”. And of course a Gypsy figure to go along the lines of Crow and Servo is awesome!

Robot Monster finally! A GOOD Season 1 episode. Although the episode isn’t good so much because it has goo riffing, I really agree with what Josh said that Robot Monster didn’t need to be riffed because it’s funny on it’s own.
Boy: “You’re just a bully that likes picking on people smaller than you!”
(pause)
Ro-Man: “Now I will kill you!”
That moment would have made a great stinger.
Another decent set of titles, although there will be the usual S1 haters b****ing about Robot Monster, I’m sure. Out of all these, I’m abit surprised with Devil Fish turning up; I thought that had been a “Not Likely” on Travis Hosey’s list. Also nice to see that SF is continuing with the figurines…I wonder how long Gypsy’s tube will be made! :smile:

What will be on Volume 20?
The single BEST Shout Factory release YET!! Every one of those is a winner! Robot Monster is legendary! BRIDE OF THE MONSTER has been my favorite episode for years! Ed Wood, and Hired part 1! Devil Doll is hilarious, and Devil Fish is my wife’s favorite episode! The still frame laughing sequence at the end still breaks me up!
I’m VERY pleased! Very, very happy with this announcement indeed! I’m guessing we can expect this late November?

Wow, not what I expected at all regarding the last two episodes. This is another solid set. Looking forward to getting my hands on this one too. Can’t even imagine whats going to be on Vol. 20. Fingers crossed for Puma man.
Not bad at all, I’m sooo happy we finally have Bride of the Monster. That’s a great episode. I’ve heard Robot Monster is a good Season 1 so I look foward to checking it out.
Devil Doll is a really good Season 8 episode, Devil Fish is from Season 9, seen parts of it, not bad.
And a Gypsy figure?! Cool! Looks to be a solid set. Let the speculation on what the special features will be, begin.
All’s I can say is YAY! My VHS of Devil Doll is disintegrating.
I’m really encouraged that this is an entire set of episodes on the “Possible” to “Not Likely” side of Travis’s list. Just keep chipping away, Shout…

i think people will be pleasantly surprised about how well done a show Robot Monster is for a Season 1 title. The riffs are great as are the segments..I am a fan of the 1st Season and this one is one of the best of that season

Cool that everyone is so happy. Me, a 201-512 fan m’self, and one who holds season 8 as Mike’s best, I’m gonna skip this one.
I can’t pay $60 for one good Joel ep. (insert snide comments pro and con for season 1 here).
Everyone can now commence hating me! (but honestly, you Coleman Francis fans, and now Devil Doll & Fish – come ON).

Huh… One episode that I’ve been waiting for, two episodes that I really haven’t watched since they first aired, and one episode that I don’t really want to watch. I guess I’ll be getting this for BRIDE OF THE MONSTER and the Gypsy figure.

Another great set. I agree Robot Monster is a strong season 1 episode and just such a crazy movie in its own right.
I predicted Bride of the Monster a few days ago on the Comic Con string, but I have to admit it was because Joel spilled the beans when I saw him in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago. We can all look forward to some cool extras too.
Well, Devil Fish never directly had ties with the devil … it’s only problem was that it could over-produce faster than we could account for. I’m sure that’s not the only being to do so in the history of the planet…

I am just going to come out and say it. But has anyone noticed how similar the premise of the new Sky-fy original film Sharktopus is to Devilfish with the whole man made Shark/Octapus hybrid monster.

SF had a 3-D version on VHS in their old-skool Rhino days–Just that the 3-D was spotty and didn’t work for the entire movie…

Should add the prediction that raises the probability we’ll get “Slime People” on one of the next two sets, and “Project Moonbase”–Ktla KNEW! :)
Only problem is, for some unknown reason, MGM/UA bought rights to “Robot Holocaust” back under the Orion label, and it might be rights-blocked for Shout…But with MGM starting to go under, who knows for sure?
Hopefully the special edition comes with a contract so you can sell your soul to Pitch…

I agree. It’s great riffed, but the movie is actually decent.

This sounds like a good set. I like that there’s a theme to it and I like that there’s going to be a Gypsy figurine.
