Trivia: Near the beginning and again at the end of the movie, Louise holds a picture of herself and her pre-mutated fiancee, played by the costumed PAUL BLAISDELL (who nicknamed his monstrous creation Marty). If you look closely at the picture, you see LORI NELSON and director ROGER CORMAN! By the way, this was Corman's first sci-fi flick.

Note: THE DAY THE WORLD ENDED was shown as the live, participatory MST3K--The Home Game. With BBI's permission and prior to the premiere of episode 801-REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, the Sci-Fi Channel aired this movie during which on-line MSTies could make funny comments, which appeared at the bottom of the TV screen. The Brains did not perform in this, nor were they directly involved.
