- 04/17 Eddie Cochran (age 21) who portrayed
Bong in episode 112- UNTAMED YOUTH. Cochran is the
youngest MST3K-related person to die. Cochran will
wounded in a car accident near Bath, England, when the
cab he was riding in (he was on his way to the airport,
to fly home to the U.S.) blew a tire and hit a lamppost.
Cochran was thrown through the windshield and died the
next day in the hospital. Also in the car were Cochran's
fiancée and singer Gene Vincent. Both were
seriously injured but survived the crash.
