This piece appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer Sunday Magazine 18 years ago today. I worked for weeks on the damn thing, but reading it over today, I’m still pretty happy with it. For your amusement.
Sunday, April 14, 1996 I want my MST Fans have been keeping this cult TV series in orbit. […] …begins, as it often does, with our pal Erich Asperschlager at DVDVerdict.com.
Our pal Bruce Westbrook has a review. DVD Corner has an unsigned review. We’ll update this post as new reviews come in. This COULD all be a massive April Fools joke (note the date of the premiere), but take a look at this listing, found on the web site for “TV Guide” (apparently it’s something called a “magazine”). Credit for the find goes to Tony Goggin. Nice work, Tony.
I want to stress that this […] Entertainment Weekly seems to crank out these clickbait lists a few times a year, but, hey, it’s great to see they know that MSTies are still out there.
There’s a site called Interviewly.com, where they do something very valuable: They take Reddit AMA sessions and turn them into straightforward question-and-answer interviews that are a bit easier to follow (at least for an old fogey like me).
Here’s Joel’s semi-recent visit. |
