He’s been in the job a couple of months already, but today Joel announced that former ‘Daily Show’ head writer Elliott Kalan is the head writer for Joel’s MST3K revival. “I’m the luckiest man in recorded history,” he said in his statement to the backers.
LOS ANGELES–Michelle McNamara, a crime writer and wife of comedian and actor Patton Oswalt, died in her sleep at her home here April 21. McNamara was 46.

Joel just sent out an update to the Kickstarter backers, which has some more information about the Rifftrax/MST3K reunion and their Kickstarter, and also encourages fans to support a Kickstarter related to the great Frank Zappa.
