 Just posted on Shout Factory’s website: They’re re-issueing “The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. 2,” which features episode 301- Cave Dwellers, episode 303- Pod People, episode 622- Angels’ Revenge and Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Shorts, Vol. 1.
Extras include MST Hour wraps for Pod People and Cave Dwellers. Release Date: May 24. Thanks to Paul for the heads up. Two items:
1. There are two new episodes of MST3K streaming exclusively on Shout! Factory TV starting today, episodes 112- UNTAMED YOUTH and 310- FUGITIVE ALIEN. 2. And it’s MST3K Monday at RiffTrax.com and this week’s title is episode 101- THE CRAWLING EYE.  Lake San Marcos, Calif—Flora Gordon, Bert I.Gordon’s wife and go-to special effects maven for many of his films died here January 26. She was 90.She got an “assistant technical effects” credit for the movies in episodes 313- EARTH VS. THE SPIDER and 319- WAR OF THE COLOSSAL BEAST. She was uncredited for her special effects work in the movie in episode 517- THE BEGINNING OF THE END. She got a “special visual effects” credit for the movies in episodes 523- VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS and 411- THE MAGIC SWORD (as Flora Gordon) and for the movie in episode 414- TORMENTED. She got a “assistant technical effects” credit for the movie in episode 309- THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN and a wardrobe credit (as Flora Lang) for the movie in episode 210- KING DINOSAUR. The Hollywood Reporter has the story. Thanks to our buddy Paul for the heads up.  Award-winning and Oscar-nominated British stage, film and television actor Frank Finlay died at his home January 30. He was 89. Among hundreds of roles, he is well remembered as Porthos in the “Three Musketeers” films of the 1970s (alongside Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain and Michael York), and opposite Susan Penhaligon in the taboo-challenging television series “Bouquet Of Barbed Wire.” He played Iago opposite Laurence Olivier in 1965’s “Othello” and was nominated for an Oscar. He was awarded a CBE award in 1984. His turns as Sancho Panza in “The Adventures of Don Quixote” and Voltaire in “Candide” won him BAFTA awards. MSTies will remember his starring role as bee enthusiast H.W. Manfred in the movie in episode 905- THE DEADLY BEES. The Independent is the first with something online. Well, no bachelor party would be complete without Rowsdower. For the preacher I think I’d like the Tolliver, the crazy goat man from “The Slime People.” The maid of honor should be one of the giant girls from Village of the Giants (maybe all of them!) and for best man, you gotta pick Moon from “The Beatniks.” Kinda unreliable, but what a toast he’d make!
