 HICKORY, N.C. — James Best, whose prolific career included 83 movies and 600 TV shows but is best remembered for his role as Rosco P. Coltrane, the bumbling sheriff of Hazzard, died in a hospice here April 6 after a brief illness. He was 88.MSTies will recall his role as the heroic Thorne Sherman in the movie in episode 407- THE KILLER SHREWS. The Charlotte Observer has an obit. Elvis was invited to join Allie Goertz and Julia Prescott on the Everything’s Coming Up Podcast podcast, a funny and very obsessive (two qualities I admire) podcast devoted to “The Simpsons.” No, they didn’t think he was the other Josh Weinstein, they’re also MST3K fans. The three discuss the “Flaming Moe’s” episode.
