It’s been a pretty Gamera-centric week in MSTiedom, for obvious reasons, so let’s round out the week with a full on discussion of the new set, your favorite episodes and your favorite moments from the TEN Gamera eps (including KTMA), the original movies (which is your favorite?) and anything else Gamera-related.
Incidentally, Several alert commenters have pointed out that this is the movie we see clips of in the Film Ventures Int’l credit sequences for episode 303-POD PEOPLE. And, as I noted earlier, this was directed by Don Dohler, whose “Alien Factor” was given a thorough roughing up by Cinematic Titanic. 
Our pal Daniel Griffith is hard at work on “JAM HANDY TO THE RESCUE!” his satirical documentary exploring the life and times of the prolific educational/industrial film producer, Henry Jamison Handy. Written by and starring the great Larry Blamire (director of the “Lost Skeleton” series), it will premiere on Shout! Factory’s upcoming special edition re-release of episode 424- MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE, coming this Fall. 
BALDWIN HILLS, Calif. — Charles Aaron “Bubba” Smith, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1967 NFL draft who later found fame as an actor, was found dead at his home here on Wednesday, Aug. 3. He was 66. The cause of death was not immediately apparent but a police spokesman said the death does not appear to be suspicious.
