The L.A. Times previews the upcoming Cinematic Titanic show in L.A.
The Mystery Science Theater 3000: 20th Anniversary Edition DVD box set has been posted for preorder at Amazon. The release date for this DVD box set is October 28. Our sources at ShoutFactory tell us it is “a lavishly packaged 4-DVD box set with lots of bonus content.” They are not announcing what episodes are on it yet–that should come at Comic Con.
Stay tuned! Mary Jo will take part in a “short film gong show” event Sunday, June 22, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Studio Movie Grill, 11170 North Central Expressway, Dallas. Admission is $10 for the all-ages event.
Mary Jo will be one of the judges, along with Gini Mascorro (from KERA-TV, a local PBS channel), Jack E. Jett (of “The QueerEdge”) and actor Drew Waters (“Mad Money”; “Inspector Mom”). MALIBU, Calif.—Stan Winston, the Oscar-winning special-effects artist perhaps best remembered for creating the terrifyingly realistic dinosaurs of “Jurassic Park” died here June 15 after a seven-year struggle with multiple myeloma. He was 62. MSTies will recall his work as special makeup creator for the movie in episode 1010- IT LIVES BY NIGHT.
