Johnny Crawford, RIP

Actor Johnny Crawford, known for playing Chuck Connors’ son in ABC series “The Rifleman” from 1958-63, died at a care facility on April 29. He was 75.

MSTies will remember him as Horsey in the movie in episode 523- VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS and as Ken Brewster in the movie in episode 906- THE SPACE CHILDREN.

RIP Michael Collins

NAPLES, Fla. — Astronaut Michael Collins, who piloted the Apollo 11 spacecraft Columbia in orbit 60 miles above the moon while his crewmates, Neil Armstrong and Col. Buzz Aldrin, became the first men to walk on the lunar surface, died at a hospice facility here on April 28. He was 90.

He gets recognition on this site because he was mentioned in a host segment in episode 111- MOON ZERO TWO.

Shunsuke Kikuchi, RIP

TOKYO, Japan — Composer Shunsuke Kikuchi died of pneumonia at a medical facility here on April 24. He was 89.

Kikuchi made his professional debut as a soundtrack composer in the 1961 film “Hachininme” and composed for numerous anime, live-action series and films, particularly for Toei and Shochiku. He may be best-known for composing the first theme song for the Kamen Rider franchise “Let’s Go!! Rider Kick.”

MSTies know his work as musical score composer for the movies in episodes 312 (K08)- GAMERA VS. GUIRON and 316 (K07)- GAMERA VS. ZIGRA.
