RIP Sandro Dori

Rome, Italy — Italian actor Sandro Dori, who played supporting roles in about a hundred films, has died at a hospital here Feb. 15. He was 82. He also worked in theater and did voice work.

Fans of Italian movies might remember his role as Dr. Zucconi in “Il Prof. Dott. Guido Tersilli Primario Della Clinica Villa Celeste Convenzionata Con Le Mutue.” MSTies will remember his uncredited role as Stud in the movie in episode 1013- DIABOLIK.

Lynn Stalmaster, RIP

Los Angeles — Lynn Stalmaster, the veteran casting director who pushed relative unknowns for starring roles, died Feb. 12 at his home here. He was 93. In November, 2016, Stalmaster became the first casting director in history to receive an Academy Award.

Among the hundreds of movies and TV shows he worked on, Stalmaster was the casting director for the movie in episode K13- SST: DEATH FLIGHT and the first episode of the TV series “The Master,” seen in episode 322- MASTER NINJA I.

Christopher Plummer, RIP

Weston Conn.–Christopher Plummer, who starred in “The Sound of Music,” won an Oscar for “Beginners” and was nominated for “All the Money in the World” and “The Last Station,” died Feb. 5 at his home here from a blow to the head he received in a fall. He was 91.

MSTies will remember his performance as The Emperor in the movie in episode 1106- STARCRASH.
