 Music producer Phil Spector, known for his “Wall of Sound” style, and who later was convicted of murder, died Jan. 16. He was 81.
California state prison officials said he died of natural causes at a prison hospital. Spector was convicted of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in 2003. After a trial in 2009, he was sentenced to 19 years to life. Clarkson played Amathea in the movie in episode 1111- WIZARDS OF THE LOST KINGDOM II. The Hollywood Reporter has a story. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.  WOODLAND HILLS, CALIF. — Character actor Peter Mark Richman died at his home here on Jan. 14. He was 93.
He was perhaps best known for his hundreds of television episodes, including recurring roles on “Three’s Company” and “Beverly Hills 90210.” MSTies will remember him from his role as super secret agent Adam Chance in the movie in episode 815- AGENT FOR H.A.R.M. Antonio Sabato Sr., the Italian American actor who starred in the 1966 all-star racing epic “Grand Prix,” died Jan. 6 in a Los Angeles hospital from complications of the coronavirus. He was 77.After “Gand Prix,” he went on to star in dozens of Italian and American movies, including the spaghetti western “One Dollar Too Many.” MSTies will remember him as Dablone (aka “Toblerone”) in the movie in episode 705- ESCAPE 2000. The Mirror has a nice retrospective. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.  In a move that is believed to be related to the Susan Hart imbroglio, “MST3K: Volume XXXIV” has officially gone out of print. The episodes are still available in digital formats, but physical copies of the titles are no longer on sale at ShoutFactory.com (though we did spot some copies on Amazon). But if you want a physical copy, good luck.
