Posted by Sampo, on November 4th, 2020  SINAI, SOUTH DAKOTA–Actress, dancer and choreographer Smith Wordes died here of cancer Oct. 19. She was 65.
She began acting in the 1960s and in the 1970s began working as a professional dancer and then as a choreographer. She appeared on dozens of TV shows and a few movies, including “Beverly Hills Cop III” and “Star Trek: First Contact.” She is perhaps best known for her choreography work with Michael Jackson. She had a featured role in his “Smooth Criminal” music video.
MSTies might recall her delightful turn (using the stage name Smith Evans) in episode 814- RIDING WITH DEATH as Buffalo Bill’s girlfriend Tina, aka Cupcake.

BAHAMAS–Actor Sir Sean Connery died here Oct. 31, his family has said. Sir Sean died peacefully in his sleep, his son said, having been “unwell for some time.” The Scottish actor was best known for his portrayal of James Bond, being the first to bring the role to the big screen and appearing in seven of the spy thrillers.
He won an Oscar in 1988 for his role in The Untouchables.
MSTies will recall that Joel and the bots compared to his brother Neil (who is still alive, as far as we know) in a host segment in episode 508- OPERATION DOUBLE 007.

Clear your calendars, MSTies: On October 30, you’re invited to the Second Annual Puppet Camp and Startling Conclusion of the MIGIZI Fundraiser! This event will feature a telethon-style final push on the fundraiser we began in July to help MIGIZI rebuild, as well as the public premiere of TWO BRAND NEW MST3K SHORTS, riffed by Joel Hodgson, J. Elvis Weinstein and Bill Corbett reprising their roles as Joel Robinson, Tom Servo and Crow.
The two shorts will be “A Busy Day at the County Fair” and “Behind the Scenes at the Supermarket.”
This live-streamed event will feature performances by Puddles the Clown, Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House, TikTok sensation Toiley T. Paper and puppet visionary Wayne White (Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Beauty is Embarrassing). Hosting duties fall to the cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live.
