LONDON — Terry Jones, a founding member of the Monty Python comedy troupe and a beloved comedian, screenwriter, film director, poet, historian and author, died Jan. 21 at his home here. He was 77.

He famously played the awful Mr. Creosote in the movie “Monty Python’s Meaning of Life,” who was mentioned in a host segment in episode 111- MOON ZERO TWO.

TOKYO–Actor Joe Shishido, best known internationally for his work with Seijun Suzuki, died at his home here on Jan. 20. He was 86.
