Japanese actor Tatsuo Umemiya died Dec. 12. He had been being treated for several different cancers. He was 81. MSTies will remember his performance in the title role of the movie in episode 816- PRINCE OF SPACE. UPDATE: He died of kidney failure at a hospital near Tokyo. The only news story we have so far is in Japanese. Google translates it as well as it can. Thanks to Tim for the heads up. 
Connecticut–Caroll Spinney, who gave Big Bird his warmth and Oscar the Grouch his growl for nearly 50 years on “Sesame Street,” died Dec. 8 at his home here according to the Sesame Workshop. He was 85. People Magazine has the story. Thanks to Tim for the heads up. Kevin Murphy and Trace Beaulieu will be joining radio station WDCB in a special live broadcast celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its “Those Were The Days” program on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
