 ROME — Oscar-nominated director Franco Zeffirelli, whose opulent set designs and sweeping directorial style bolstered operatic films, religious epics and Shakespearean love stories, died June 15 at his home here. He was 96. MSTies may recall that he was mentioned in a host segment in episode 1009- HAMLET. The Hollywood Reporter has the story. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.
