Movie: (1984) When some alien eggs hatch, it spells trouble for a pair of poachers, a vacationing singer and his entourage and an isolated family. First shown: 6/15/91 • People adore this episode. In the ACEG it’s described as a “fan favorite.” But I gotta say this is number-one in my list of “sleeping pill” episodes. Don’t get me wrong: the riffing is great and the host segments are ALL winners (which is a rarity). But the movie just puts me to sleep. Maybe it’s all the fog and new agey music. I did make it through this viewing without dozing off, but I was getting pretty drowsy by the end. My theater was about 3/4 full and people were laughing a lot. I know I sure was.
Great show. Oh, and my doctor recommends against having a hip dick installed. Just sayin’. Your thoughts? A while back, alert reader Ken suggested “The character in a MSTed movie you could be friends with.” But I’m gonna change it up a little.
What character in a MSTed movie would you like to have dinner with, spend an evening with? What would you ask him or her (or it!)? I’d pick Bart Fargo. Oh, the tales he could tell, and afterwards we could go to a club and he’d be the ultimate wingman. What would your pick be? (Keep those thread ideas coming!) |
