The icons of pop-culture Christmas do battle as superheroes and supervillains in this book written by Bill and illustrated by our pal Len Peralta. More info here.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Entertainer Pia Zadora was hospitalized with serious head and leg injuries after a fall from a motorized golf cart driven by her teenage son near their northwest Las Vegas home. Zadora’s husband, Mike Jeffries, tells the Las Vegas Sun the singer-actress suffered a head injury and a compound ankle fracture in the Thursday evening accident. She is recovering in intensive care at University Medical Center. Jeffries says Zadora’s upcoming performances at Piero’s Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas are canceled. MSTies of course will never forget her portrayal of martian kid Girmar in the movie in episode 321- SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS. From everybody here at Satellite News, get well soon, Pia! Thanks to Paul for the heads up. Kristen Lopez of CinemaSentries.com interviews Mike ahead of next month’s “Anaconda” RiffTrax Live.
This one’s been sitting in the cue for a couple of years:
Well, no, Klisch, but let’s expand this. MST3K is available on YouTube and Hulu (and Retro TV!), plus of course the many DVDs that are out there, so there really are lots of chances to be watching it at, say, work, or school, only to laugh at the wrong moment. I gotta tell you, I have had several instances of watching the show at work and having to desperately stifle my hilarity inside my cubicle. I suspect others have had this experience. Tell us about it! (And keep sending those topics!) |
