If you live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Scranton Cultural Center will again present Bad Movie Thursdays with MST3K –hosted by yours truly — TONIGHT at 7 p.m. (Cocktails at 6.) The episode this month is 904- WEREWOLF. More info here. Join us, won’t we? It should be abzolootely fazinatink.
This week the Cinematic Titanic crew heads to the coast for a show in San Francisky.
UPDATE: Emilie Mutert has an interview with Joel at SF Weekly with Joel that has a slightly overdramatic headline. Here’s the current schedule: Oct. 19, 7 p.m. (“The Doll Squad”) and 9:30 p.m. (“The Astral Factor”) at The Castro Theatre (as part of SketchFest), San Francisco. More info here. Nov. 1, 7 p.m. (“The Wasp Woman”) and 9:30 p.m. (“The Doll Squad”) at the Capitol Center for the Arts, Concord, N.H. More info here. Nov. 2, 8 p.m. at the Calvin Theater, Northampton, Mass. “The Astral Factor.” More info here. Nov. 3, 7 p.m. Wilbur Theatre, Boston. “The Doll Squad.” More info here. Dec. 30, 8 p.m. Keswick Theatre, suburban Philadelphia. “The Wasp Woman” and “The Doll Squad.” More info here. Several people have alerted me to the fact that the DVD and BluRay for the Sandra Bullock/Melissa McCarthy comedy “The Heat” contains “…hilarious audio commentaries featuring Melissa McCarthy, Director Paul Feig, the Original Mystery Science Theater 3000 Guys…” I tweeted Feig yesterday and he confirms that refers to Joel, Josh and Trace. If somebody gets it, give us a report in the comments, please. I’ve heard from a fellow who bought two tickets to the Nov. 2 Cinematic Titanic show in Northampton. It’s two seats in the fifth row of the balcony. But now he can’t make it after all. He’s hoping there is somebody in the Mass. area who might want them. He paid $67 including fees.
Email me at msampo at aol dot com if you can take them off his hands and I will put you in touch with him. Alert reader Dylan sent this along…
