Update: Bonus Features for the Next Volume

Further update from Jordan:

Bless your readers, if it weren’t for their comments, I would have forgotten to include the MST Hour wraps for THE DAY THE EARTH FROZE. I’ll make sure they’re included.

The latest from Shout!

Bonus features include:
· 3-Part Documentary Return To Eden Prairie: 25 Years Of Mystery Science Theater 3000
· Ninth Wonder Of The World: The Making Of Gorgo (MST3K Edition)
· Last Flight Of Joel Robinson
· Life After MST3K: Mary Jo Pehl
· Leonard Maltin Explains Something
· Original Trailers
· 4 Exclusive Mini-Posters By Artist Steve Vance
And to clarify: There will be a fifth disc in this set containing the double feature of “Mitchell” and “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die”

Some intriguing stuff here. I bet what Leonard wants to explain is his much-maligned star rating system.

MST3K Sale at Amazon

Amazon is currently having a huge sale on MST3K boxed sets, with most sets selling for $23.99 – $24.99. Time to catch up on those missing sets.

The restored version of “Manos, the Hands of Fate” will be screened Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 9 p.m. at SIFF Cinema Uptown, 511 Queen Anne Ave. N. in Seattle.

More info here.

‘Manos, the Hands of Felt’ in Seattle (featuring special guests)

“Manos, The Hands of Felt,” “a giddy puppet musical re-imagining of the cult classic” will be performed Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 9-10 and 16-17 at 8 p.m. at the Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave. in Seattle. Following the Saturday, Aug. 10, performance there will be a question-and-answer session with Jackey Raye Neyman Jones (little “Debbie” from the movie) and Bryan Jennings (the son of the actor who played the sheriff). Get tickets and more info here.

I like this part:
“Despite the presence of puppets, the show is not recommended for patrons under the age of 14. (adult language, bizarre sexual situations)” Whoa.
