Ahead of Cinematic Titanic’s show in Santa Barbara this weekend, D.J. Palladino of the Santa Barbara Independent has a piece that has some quotes from Joel.
The folks at toplessrobot.com have a top 10 list of MST3K episodes for Halloween viewing. As Cinematic Titanic heads to the University of Nevada_Reno next week, Forrest Hartman has a piece in the Reno Gazette-Journal.
And — hey! A new publicity photo! At last!!! Well, I appreciate everybody’s thoughts on the “wither Thursdays” issue and, having read them, and discussing it with Erhardt, I agree that Film Crew, Cinematic Titanic and RiffTrax episode guides represent a level of “mission creep” we have always tried to avoid. So those efforts are being put on the back burner.
And while I had wanted to speed up the process of finishing up the episode guide, I understand that there are a lot of newer regulars who have not had a chance to weigh in on these episodes. So, I will continue the one-episode-a-week-on-Thursdays pattern and do the rest of the series, which should take us into 2014. At that time, we’ll decide what to do next. As for the BBI-produced videos, I will slot them in between seasons as we go: for example, I will do “Poopie 1 & 2” in two weeks, after we complete season 3. Again, thanks for everybody’s input. Well, Halloween is around the corner so let’s talk costumes! First, the experts:
So, are you wearing a MST3K-themed costume this year? (Somebody on Twitter noted today that if you dress in a Gizmonic jumpsuit, people think you’re a race car driver.) Have you ever created/worn one? What was the response? What character from an MST3K movie would you like to dress up as? Have at it, while I look around and see if I can’t find the picture of me in the awesome “not Sinbad” costume my wife made for me to wear at the 1994 convention (I’m pretty drunk in the picture, as I recall…). |
