Update: Shout officials confirm that “Atomic Brain” will DEFINITELY have a stinger, unlike the Rhino release.

Our pals at the MST3k.com site mention — sort of in passing — that two new single titles are coming from Shout! Factory, episode 908- THE TOUCH OF SATAN and 518- THE ATOMIC BRAIN. And they’re right! They should be available Oct. 16.
Here’s a thread for reports from Dragon*Con in Atlanta. Give us reports about Mst3K/Cinematic Titanic/RiffTrax panels and events, and any other happenings that you think MSTies would like to hear about.
It’s from Ian Jane at RockShockPop.com, who says “Fans of MST3K or Manos alike should consider this an essential purchase.
Our pal Bruce Westbrook has his review. Update: WTF-Film.com has a review. I’ll update this post as more reviews come in. UPDATE: By the way, I just got a note from Jordan Fields, who says: “I think there’s an assumption from your readers that our “Manos” release is a Shout Select title (which I understand since it’s a re-release). It’s not. It’ll be in stores.” So if you’d like to pre-order it direct from Shout! Factory, we’d appreciate it if you used this link. If you’d prefer to pre-order it from Amazon, please use this link. Bill, Trace and Frank are headed to Atlanta and Dragon*Con this weekend. If you’re going (and we’re not, drat) he’s what they’ll be up to. All events are at the Hyatt unless otherwise indicated.

V: Down In Deep 13: Dr. Forrester & TV’s Frank–Ken Plume hosts Trace and Frank for “a descent down memory cave.” 8:30 p.m.; Crystal Ballroom at the Hilton: Celebrity Quiz-o-Tron 2000: Rebecca Watson hosts a panel quiz show featuring Bill, Trace and Frank, along with Drew Curtis, Ken Plume and James Urbaniak.
